During the uncertain and unsettling COVID-19 pandemic, I sought safe harbor by hiking into the local forests in SF Bay Area and around my neighborhood country paths, and that's where I found my Sanctuary. Nature has always been an inspiration to me one way or another, its elements find their way into my work and raised my awareness to the changing seasons and fauna all around me. I explore the fragility of the natural environment which constantly changes in a cyclical way and often disappears. The layered printing process of viscosity color I use reflects an allegorical representation of time and my passage through life. They are bits and fragments of my memories, observations, and experiences. I have become much more in tune with my feelings of nostalgia, spirituality, freedom, and awe.
