Statira Alyea

Statira Alyea was born into an unstable country, torn by consecutive wars from which her family escaped and sought refuge in Europe. She grew up in Finland, creating from a young age, interested in photography and books. In her adult life she migrated to the Netherlands, where she studied psychologie at VU Amsterdam and then Fine Arts at the Wackers school of Fine Arts. In her final year she discovered printmaking and graduated with a collection of monotypes. She currently resides in Qatar, where she continues to paint, create and expand her printmaking knowledge.
