I have no grand manifestos about the act of making art, save that for bookworms. For me, it's like cooking; grab various ingredients, pour, mix and pop into the oven, make something as spontaneous as possible. It is true, making prints has additional processes, but even in the process it gets down to the creative act and individual well placed strokes, somewhat like the immediacy of drawing/painting.
From 1983-1996, I worked as a freelance Art Director/Master Scenic Artist/Set Designer/Decorator/Photographer on many Feature Film projects, Television Presentations and movies, National Commercials, Music Videos and a few Theater projects.
I received a A.A. degree from San Joaquin Delta College, Stockton, CA in 1973. B.A.; M.A. degrees in Painting/Drawing/Printmaking from California State University, Sacramento, 1977;1979. Completed my studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a M.F.A. in Drawing, 1982.
